Being able to sing Rahman sir’s outstanding compositions was a contemplative experience, and I hope I was capable to live up to his perception. I thank Imtiaz Bhajee’s confidence in me for this duty,” he continued.

For her part, Parineeti chooses Chamkila over Ranbir Kapoor and Sandeep Reddy’s Animal. She stated, “It is a privilege to play Amarjot, Chamkila’s singing partner and wife in this incredible film, and I am thankful to Imtiaz sir for having this chance. It has been incredibly enlightening to share the screen with Diljit. Being able to work with the celebrated AR Rahman has long been a dream of mine because singing is my passion.

Diljit Dosanjh also had a role in the movie Jodi, which centered on the romantic tale of Amar Singh and Amarjot Kaur before Imtiaz Ali’s Chamkila.
