An overwhelming response from Pathaan
Pathaan was one of the most anticipated movies of 2023, as it witnessed the comeback of Bollywood legendary actor Shah Rukh Khan four years later. It turns out to be one of the blockbuster movies of the Hindi film industry, Bollywood.
As a comeback movie of SRK, the craze for this movie among his fans was great even before the release of the movie. All SRK fans were religiously waiting for this movie, and they made this movie a blockbuster hit. The movie also features Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in lead roles.

Comparison of Pathaan with Selfie
The latest movie of another Bollywood actor, Akshay Kumar Selfie, is struggling to get any audience in theaters even in its first week. Meanwhile, the comeback movie of Shah Rukh Khan (SRK) Pathaan has been running in theaters successfully for more than a month. This shows the crazy fan following of SRK globally.

Box Office Response for Selfie
Akshay Kumar’s Selfie also featured Imran Hashmi in the lead role, while Diana Panty and Nushrratt Bharuccha featured in supporting roles. This movie is a remake of the 2019 Malayalam movie, Driving License. Its story is centered around the conflict between the RTO Inspector and a prominent actor. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the movie made merely Rs 1 crore on Wednesday before climbing to Rs 13.70 crore over a week after its debut.

Akshay Kumar’s Response to the Failure of Selfie
After highly anticipated films like Raksha Bandhan, Ram Setu, Samrat Prithviraj, and Bachchhan Paandey failed last year, this is Akshay’s fifth consecutive flop.

In a recent interview with Aaj Tak, Akshay talked about the current strings of flop movies and remarked “This is not the first time this has happened to me. I once had eight consecutive films that didn’t function. I’ve experienced 16 straight failures in a period in my profession. Now, I’ve seen three or four films in a row that were bad. The success and failure of the movie are two sides of a coin. If any movie fails, it’s because of your fault. The audience has changed, so you just need to adapt and disassemble yourself. Now, the audience wants to see something new, and you have to present something new to them”.

Box Office Response for Pathaan
Shah Rukh Khan’s action film Pathaan has already surpassed the significant milestone of Rs 1000 crore globally a while back. It is expected to do well at the box office in the future. According to a report in India Today, it reportedly made Rs 75 lakh domestically on its 36th day. Bollywood’s Hungama claims that this is comparable to their Tuesday revenue (77 lakhs).
Industry tracker Sacnilk provided the most recent box office data for the movie, which showed that it had maintained an incredible Rs 1,023.5 crore. Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan domestic total (in all languages) was rounded off to Rs 527.25 crore.
The movie is racing surpass the Rs 511 crore of Baahubali 2 (Hindi version), and if things keep going the way they are, they will easily surpass that mark.

Comparison of Pathaan with other Recent Movie Releases
Not only Akshay Kumar’s Selfie but also other recent releases like Kartik Aryan’s Shehzada and Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumadia from the MCU proves a complete disaster at the box office. They are not able to do some decent business at the ticket counter and stand against Pathaan at the Indian Box office.
Thus, Pathaan rules single-handedly over the Indian box office for a month.

Upcoming hindi movies
