For Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings Devon Conway scored the highest 83 of 45 balls, Shivam Dube struck 52 in 27 deliveries and a short but quick blitz of 37 in 20 balls was played by Ajinkya Rahane. Shivam Dube hit 5 big sixes during his half century.
IPL 2023: CSK Defeat RCB By 8 Runs In A High Scoring Game
For RCB bowling attack all the 6 bowlers took 1 wicket each namely Siraj, Parnell, Vijay Kumar, Glen Maxwell, Wanindu Hasaranga and Harshal Patel.
In response RCB started on a bad note with Virat Kohli who came to open the innings getting out at just 6 runs and one down Mahipal Lomror getting out on a duck.
Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell’s partnership of 126 runs off 61 balls helped RCB get closer to the target. Maxwell scored 76 off 36 balls before getting out.
Du Plessis scored 62 off 33 balls before losing his wicket.
After Dinesh Karthik scored 28 runs off 14 balls, CSK started to get a better chance at winning. RCB needed to score 19 runs in the last over, but they could only manage to score 218/8, losing the match to CSK.
