Four days after the Hamas attacks, nearly 3,600 people died in Israel and Gaza. Israel claims to have reclaimed control over the group in the border regions with Gaza. The Israeli military reported anti-tank fire from Lebanon hitting one of its northern locations, but it was slow to offer information on casualties or potential perpetrators.

Israel received reports of shelling from Syria and Lebanon and replied with airstrikes. Hezbollah, a militant group in Lebanon, claimed the attacks. In Israel, the deadliest attack in the country’s 75-year history, over 1,200 people perished, while 900 died in Gaza. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu contrasted the Hamas attacks to ISIS crimes and vowed to reduce Hamas sites in Gaza to rubble.

Firing from Lebanon

The Israeli military reported on Wednesday that anti-tank fire from Lebanon was hitting one of its northern locations, but it was slow to offer information on any casualties or potential perpetrators. According to the statement, the attack occurred close to the Israeli town of Arab al-Aramshe and across from the Lebanese village of Dhayra.

Additionally, Israel received reports of shelling from Syria and Lebanon, to which it replied with airstrikes of its own. Hezbollah, a militant group in Lebanon, claimed the attacks were in retaliation for the deaths of its members at the hands of Israeli defense forces.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu contrasted the Hamas assaults to ISIS crimes and vowed to reduce Hamas sites in Gaza to rubble. “Terrorists from Hamas burned and killed children. They are uncivilized. ISIS is Hamas,” he declared. Israeli forces bombed the main entrance to the Palestinian region on Tuesday.

Israel’s Defence Minister will Consult With NATO Partners

“Following the unexpected Hamas attack on his nation, Israel’s Defence Minister Yoav Gallant will hold video conferences with his NATO counterparts on Thursday,” according to alliance chief Jens Stoltenberg. “The Israeli defense minister Gallant will update us on developments in Israel tomorrow,” Stoltenberg addressed reporters on Wednesday.

The Israeli Defence Minister declares that “Gaza Won’t Ever Go Back”

According to The Times of Israel, Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant stated on Tuesday that as the counteroffensive against the terrorist attacks continues, the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) are advancing to “complete offense” against Hamas targets.
