Key conspirator of Pathankot attack ‘Shahid Latif’ killed in Pakistan

In 1994, on suspicion of being a terrorist, he received custody in India. After that, he faced trial and ultimately sentenced to jail. After serving his sentence, he went to Pakistan across the Wagah border in 2010.

The murder of Latif is the most recent in a string of attacks in Pakistan on terrorists. Lashkar members Ziaur-Rehman and Mufti Qaisar Farooq died in Karachi last month. In February, Bashir Ahmad Peer, a senior Hizbul commander, perished in Rawalpindi.

In the past 18 months, Pakistan also witnessed the deaths of many other terrorist leaders.
