The police continued by saying that they were determining the terrorist’s identity and affiliation and that they had found evidence against him in the form of weapons and ammunition.

The confrontation started early on Tuesday morning in the Kulgam district’s Hoowra village.

According to a tweet from the Kashmir Police Zone, an encounter has begun in the Hoowra village of the Kulgam district. Police and security personnel are on duty. One JKP employee was hurt. The operation is still ongoing. We’ll have more information soon.

Giving a status report on the confrontation, it stated, “01 local terrorist eliminated. We are determining connection and recognition. Recovered evidence includes weapons and ammunition. Searching is ongoing.”

On Monday, the NIA conducted a search operation across four districts of Kashmir

As part of its ongoing investigations into the plot by recently floated offshoots of outlawed terrorist organizations with support from Pakistan to destabilize Jammu and Kashmir, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) carried out a string of searches throughout four districts of Kashmir on Monday.

They raided twelve locations in the four regions of Kulgam, Bandipora, Shopian, and Pulwama.
The sites were the homes of hybrid terrorists and underground operatives connected to recently established offshoots and associates of terrorist organizations.

During the raids, advocates and staff of these organizations’ homes were also thoroughly searched.

In Kupwara, police kill four terrorists

In a joint operation with the Indian Army and the Jammu and Kashmir police on Friday, police shot and killed four terrorists in the Kala Jungle of the Machhal sector of Jammu and Kashmir.

The Kashmir Region Police tweeted regarding the news, saying, “In an operation conducted jointly, military and law enforcement executed four terrorists in Kala Jungle of Machhal area in Kupwara who were attempting to penetrate to our side from POJK (Pakistan occupied Jammu and Kashmir).”

According to the statement, “9 AK series rifles, 14 AK magazines, 228 rounds of varying ammunition, three guns, and 55 alleged drug packets were among the recovered items.”

The Chinar Corps of the Indian Army confirmed via tweet that “war-like stores” were found at the scene of the encounter.

Anantnag Police detained two terrorists on Thursday

According to the officials, on Thursday, Anantnag Police detained two terrorists linked to the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT). They found weapons and ammunition in the Jammu and Kashmir region of Bijbhera.
