Results for the 2023 assembly elections in Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Mizoram, and Chhattisgarh are scheduled to be announced on December 3.

The Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) has been in power in Telangana since its establishment in 2014, facing a determined challenge from the Congress. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is also striving to make an impact in the southern state.

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), leader of the BRS, has held office since the state’s formation in 2014. In the upcoming polls, the Congress, BJP, and ruling BRS will compete for 119 state assembly seats, with the BRS currently holding 98 out of the total 119 seats.

The Telangana assembly elections are crucial as they precede the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, determining the next government of India. The fate of 679 seats across the five states will be decided on December 3.

In the lead-up to the polls in Telangana, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed gratitude to the people of Hyderabad for their unwavering support during his final campaign rally. He highlighted the increasing preference for the BJP in Telangana, attributing it to the party’s dedication to the state’s progress and prosperity.

Before the state assembly elections, PM Modi conducted a comprehensive roadshow in Hyderabad, receiving an enthusiastic response from a substantial crowd. Union minister and Telangana BJP President G Kishan Reddy, along with BJP MP K Laxman, joined the prime minister in this roadshow.
