Former RCB star signed as KL Rahul Replacement by LSG


Lucknow Super Giants skipper KL Rahul is out of rest of the IPL 2023 tournament due to an injury is incurred during a match. This information came on Friday and on the same day, LSG announced his replacement. Former RCB star Karun Nair is going to replace KL Rahul.

LSG revealed on Friday that Rahul’s tendon has a significant tear and will require surgery. Due to this injury, he will not be playing in World Test Championship Final as well.

Karun Nair’s December Tweet “Dear cricket, give me one more chance.” went viral when LSG shared the same tweet to announce his name as Rahul’s replacement.
Karun Nair has played in 9 seasons of IPL, this will be his 10th. In his journey so far, he has scored 1496 runs with 10 fifties. He has played for four franchises so far. Started with RCB in 2013, then he played for Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Daredevils (now known as Delhi Capitals), and Punjab Kings. He has been signed by LSG for INR 50 lakhs.

The last match against Chennai Super Kings was abandoned due to rain. Right now LSG is second on the points table. The next match is against Gujarat Titans on May 7, in Ahmedabad.
