Here is a list of the most anticipated biopics of the year, from “Chakda Xpress” to “Taali”

Biopics aim to move viewers by telling the compelling tales of well-known figures who broke down barriers and rose to greatness through adversity.

Most Anticipated Biopics In 2023

Several biopics were released last year, including Samrat Prithviraj, Gangubai Kathiawadi, Shabaash Mithu, Major, and others. Now, Bollywood will continue to supply us with a large number of biopics in 2023. We all know Bollywood wasn’t having a good time, but Pathaan has given it new life. But right now, everyone’s attention is focused on the other blockbusters that are coming out this year, many of which are biopics.

The following list includes some of the most eagerly anticipated female-driven biopics that are sure to captivate the audience:

Taali

Gauri Sawant, a transgender activist who had been at the forefront of this fight for equality and dignity, became well-known after the Supreme Court issued a landmark decision in 2014 recognizing the transgender community as a third gender.

The creative team of Arjun Singh Baran and Kartk D Nishandar came up with the idea for a cinematic adaptation of this compelling tale, casting none other than Sushmita Sen as Gauri. Sen studied the script for more than six months while also focusing on perfecting her Marathi accent and body language because she was so engrossed in the Kshitji Patwardhan-written play.

“Taali,” directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Ravi Jadhav, will soon be available on an OTT platform.

Chakda Xpress

Anushka Sharma will display her athleticism in another domestic production, “Chakda Xpress,” following the 2015 film “NH-10,” which featured her impressive acting skills. This is her first movie following “Zero” in 2018 and her second with director Prosit Roy following their partnership in “Pari.”

The widespread rumor suggests that Anushka followed a strenuous fitness regimen to fill the shoes of famous cricketer Jhulan Goswami, who rose from obscurity to become one of the fastest female bowlers of all time. Currently regarded as one of the greatest bowlers to ever compete, it is unclear how Anushka will measure up to her brilliance.

This year will see the release of the biopic, which also features Atul Sharma, Ahmareen Anjum, and Ravi Multani. This movie will be released on Netflix, and it will be fascinating to find out whether or not it impresses viewers.

Tarla

Before there were celebrity YouTube chefs and the Master Chef franchise, there was Tarla Dalal, an ever-smiling Gujarati housewife who turned her love of cooking into an empire that included television shows and countless books about vegetarian Indian food.

Huma Qureshi will portray the charming and intelligent Tarla Dalal this year as she recounts the tale of India’s first-ever home cook. The biopic’s filming is finished, and a first-look poster for the movie has also been unveiled. According to rumors, Huma spent 37 consecutive days in Mumbai filming the movie.

This year, the Piyush Gupta-directed film “Tarla,” produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, and Nitesh Tiwari, will be released on a large scale.
