IPS Officer Ravi Sinha Appointed As New RAW Chief

Ravi Sinha, a senior IPS officer from the 1988 batch, has been chosen to assume the position of Chief of Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), India’s external intelligence agency. The Appointment Committee of the Cabinet has granted approval for his appointment, which is set to commence on June 19 and will last for a tenure of two years. Sinha currently serves as the Special Secretary in the Cabinet Secretariat. This appointment comes as Samant Goel’s term as the chief of RAW concludes on June 30, 2023.
