Jio Studios discloses its expansive lineup of new movies and web series

Jio Studios has unveiled its extensive list of new movies and web series. There is a slate of over 100 movies and web shows in different languages and genres, that is lined up to be released by Reliance Industries owned studios.

These movies and web shows will be released in Viacom18’s JioCinema streaming app over next 18-24 months.

This slate is starring big names like Sharukh Khan, Shahid Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, R Madhvan, Kriti Sanon and many more.
One of the biggest and leading project is Rajkumar Hirani’s ‘Dunki’ starring Sharukh Khan. This film is set to release in 2023. This project marks first collaboration between Khan and Hirani. Reportedly, Shahid Kapoor’s two films are also lined up.
Jio Studios is planning to conquer the regional space as well with movies and tv shows lined up in languages like Marathi, Bengali, Gujarati, Bhojpuri etc.

A mammoth amount of Rs 2000 crore has been spent by content studio in last years for producing content. As per RIL president, media business, Jyoti Deshpande : Jio Studios plans to doubls the investment on content production going forward. She also added that, nothing of this scale has ever been seen before.

The content is going to be a mix of small, medium and tentpole budget shows and movies.
