Madhya Pradesh Elections 2023 – Shivraj Singh Chouhan seems to be battling for himself


On October 21, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s cheering of his Jyotiraditya Scindia came as a disbelief in the Scindia camp. However, the Union minister of aviation, Jyotiraditya Scindia, rose to prominence during the 125th-anniversary jubilation of The Scindia School in Gwalior. The fifth list of candidates from the Bharatiya Janata Party clarified the situation, as at least six of Scindia’s supporters who joined the BJP with him in 2020 got turned down for tickets.

Shivraj Singh Chouhan realized it was time to rebrand himself and make it clear to the Centre who is in charge, at least in Madhya Pradesh. The party chose seven MPs for the upcoming election, including three Union ministers, and most were running as CM candidates. He is credited with transforming a BIMARU state and is currently preparing for the long run, and when he breaks the tape, he will be the only competitor left.

Jyotiraditya Scindia glowed in the spotlight

When Prime Minister Narendra Modi showered his fresh damadji with applause on October 21, viewers in Scindia listened to him with disbelief. After all, they believed that acknowledgment from the prime minister was never a good omen. However, while associate Union minister Narendra Singh Tomar sulked in the corner, the minister of aviation, Jyotiraditya Scindia, shone in the spotlight. Modi was present for the 125th-anniversary jubilation of The Scindia School in Gwalior.

The fifth list of candidates makes Scindia’s praise more clear

The fifth list of candidates from the Bharatiya Janata Party came out shortly after the prime minister left Gwalior in the evening, which helped to clarify the situation. At least six of Scindia’s supporters who joined the BJP with him in 2020 after leaving the Congress and toppling the Kamal Nath administration got turned down for tickets.

As the Central leadership searched for viable candidates, Shivraj, the third factor in Madhya Pradesh, is idly watching from the sidelines, confident that if he loses, so will his rivals, the dozen or so chief ministerial candidates who had been vying for his support until the Central leadership invited them to run.
