The New York paparazzi mistaken Alia Bhatt for Aishwarya Rai in an unreleased video from the Met Gala 2023, which has since surfaced on Reddit.
She arrived at the event with the designer when, as seen in the video, some paparazzi referred to her as Aishwarya.
However, Alia stopped and grinned for the cameras before Prabal assisted her with the dress and she left.

Alia had earlier in the day discussed the ideas that went into creating her white gown. She said, “The iconic Chanel brides have always fascinated me. Every season, Karl Lagerfeld’s creative genius was evident in the most ground-breaking and breathtaking couture. This, and in particular supermodel Claudia Schiffer’s 1992 Chanel bridal look, served as the inspiration for my outfit tonight.
To feel authentic, I wanted to create something that was proudly made in India and featured pearls. @prabalgurung worked arduously to create the embroidery, which uses 100,000 pearls. I am so happy to wear you to my first Met Gala. She wore Karl Lagerfeld-inspired clothing in keeping with the gala’s theme.
With Heart of Stone on Netflix, Alia will soon make her Hollywood debut. Gal Gadot is also a part of it.
