After seven years, filmmaker Karan Johar dons the director’s hat for the energetic Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. The director released the initial look posters of the upcoming young romantic duo on social media on May 25. The film stars Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh in the lead roles.

The CBFC has already given the teaser the go-ahead, and it is expecting that it last 1 minute and 19 seconds, the source said.

Karan Johar described his upcoming film as ‘joyous’ in an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Hungama last year.
He said, “In my opinion, the movie is enjoyable, and I hope everyone else agrees. In addition to Ranveer and Alia, I feel extremely fortunate to have worked with Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi. Additionally, our Kolkata-based cast is incredible. Churni Ganguli and Tota Roy Chowdhury are here. I’ve collaborated with Kshitee Jog, Anjali Anand, and Aamir Bashir.”
“It’s a huge ensemble, a family love story, with several intriguing fresh faces. The movie contains all the components that I have always loved to watch and include in my films. I can’t wait for everyone to kind of immerse themselves in the world of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani because of the songs and dances in this cheerful movie,” he also stated.
The movie, starring Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, and Dharmendra, will be released on July 28, 2023.
