The Details From The Nothing Phone 2 Design Leak

Similar to the original Phone 1, which impressed many with its transparent back, Nothing seems to be continuing with the same design concept for the Phone 2, making only minor adjustments and refinements. Compared to the Phone 1, the Phone 2 appears to have design changes that enhance its overall aesthetics and ergonomics. The phone’s front and back feature a slight 2.5D curve, along with a rounded frame, making it easier to hold. This is particularly important considering the Phone 2 is equipped with a larger 6.7-inch display, surpassing the 6.55-inch screen of its predecessor.

What Do We Know So Far?

Although the iconic transparent rear back of the Phone 1 remains unchanged, the lighting elements have been redesigned for a fresher look. Notably, the LED strip along the wireless charging coil is now divided into multiple parts, allowing for individual control. This enables the creation of custom lighting effects and enhances the customization of the Glyph interface, making the Nothing Phone 2 even more distinctive.

The Phone 2 renders also reveal dual-LED flash near the cameras, which should result in brighter and more effective lighting. The power button is located on the right side of the phone, while the volume rockers are positioned on the left edge.

The 5K renders of the Phone 2, shared by Smartprix in collaboration with OnLeaks, were created based on “live pictures of a testing stage unit.” Therefore, the final version released to the public may have some minor alterations.

Although the Phone 2 is not expected to have a drastically different appearance from its predecessor, this is not necessarily a negative aspect. The design of the Phone 1 still sets it apart from other budget Android phones, making it a distinct choice.
