He will become the first Indian stand-up comedian to perform on the legendary stage, which has had the honor of organizing some of the most significant innovative icons in the past. Khan is one of the most aspired-to comic acts to come out of India in recent memory and will be appearing at prestigious venues like the Sydney Opera and Palais Theatre later this year.

One of the top performance spaces in the UK, the hall pays tribute in 1871 by Queen Victoria in honor of her late husband, Prince Albert. Over the years, it has hosted numerous internationally renowned performers. The hall featured performances by legendary performers like A. R. Rahman, Ghulam Ali, Gurdas Maan, Lata Mangeshkar, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Ravi Shankar, Shiamak Davar, and Zakir Hussain.

Khan, one of the few comics who perform stand-up almost exclusively in Hindi, has drawn packed houses at venues around the world like the Soho Theatre, Dubai Opera, and The Beacon Theatre. In support of his most recent album, “Tathastu,” he recently traveled to Australia, Canada, Dubai, and the United States. This tour sold over 100,000 tickets.

Zakir Khan’s statement

One of the most notable comedians currently coming out of the South Asian market, commented on the matter, saying, “My introduction to the Royal Albert Hall came about by watching events of Ghulam Ali and Lata Mangeshkar. At the highly esteemed venue, I used to buy recordings of their live shows. But I came across footage of Adele performing live at the Royal Albert Hall in 2015, and I was captivated by what I saw.”

He added, “I have no idea how many people will be attending the show, but I would like to thank everyone for this significant event of my life. The event will be an unforgettable experience for me, and I’m glad you are a vital part of it.”
