The BJP leader and former Union minister Basangouda Patil Yatnal objected to AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge’s insult of Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a “poisonous snake” by calling Congress leader Sonia Gandhi a “vishkanya” (poisonous maiden).
On Thursday night, he was speaking in Yalaburga, Koppal district, while running a campaign for the BJP candidate.

“People now acknowledge that Prime Minister Modi is a global leader. How is it possible for Congress to compare such a ruler to a deadly snake? The Congress leaders are making these declarations while humming Sonia Gandhi’s tune,” according to Yatnal.
He claimed that Sonia Gandhi had been acting as a Pakistani and Chinese agent. He also accused her of being responsible for the destruction of the nation. Simply because an Indian tea vendor has been elected prime minister, the Congress leaders are insulting Modi. He warned them against attacking him in such a manner.
The INC demands Yatnal’s expulsion
Randeep Surjewala, general secretary of the Congress, claimed that the BJP’s leaders in Karnataka lost their political and mental equilibrium.

PM Modi targeted Sonia in the past
The Nehru Gandhi family has become the target of abuse by the BJP leadership and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The AICC general secretary in charge of Karnataka stated that PM Modi himself had previously referred to Sonia Gandhi as the “Congress’s Ki Vidhwa” and even used vulgar language by calling her the “Jersey Cow.”
Such insults directed at Sonia Gandhi, the spouse of a former prime minister, reveal the “completely degenerated and inappropriate personality” of the BJP and its leadership, Surjewala claimed.
Basangouda Patil Yatnal should be immediately expelled from the Bharatiya Janata Party if the Prime Minister has the slightest sense of decency or dignity.
Otherwise, it will be demonstrated that the remarks Yatnal is making about Sonia Gandhi are being directed by chief minister Basavaraj Bommai and prime minister Narendra Modi, he said.
INC asks for an apology
Additionally, the Congress leader suggested that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai unconditionally apologize to Sonia Gandhi and the Congress leadership.
